West End return for Carwash

The glitz, glamour, sparkle and downright fabulousness of Carwash – the UK’s longest running and most spectacular weekly club night – is returning to its rightful home in the heart of London’s West End. Combining the decadence of the 70’s and street cool of the 80’s with the spirit of pure escapism, Carwash will be the perfect tonic for these troubling times.

After seven years across town, the capital’s most fabulous party is taking residency in Centro (formally AKA Bar) from March 5, 2011, in W1 where it belongs. Carwash are also ecstatic to be able to announce that the opening night’s very special guest will be house diva and nu disco sensation Shèna. The voice behind chart topper The Weekend and 14 other Top 40 hits including Nothing I Won’t Do, Dare Me, Guilty and Watch Out, Shèna has one of dance music’s most sought after voices gracing tracks by the likes of The Freemasons and Eric Morillo. Having also backed the cream of the funk soul pantheon including Chaka Khan, Amy Winehouse, Angie Stone, Luther Vandross and Mariah Carey, Shèna is now leading the nu-disco movement with disco stormers Cant Stop The Rain, My Fantasy and Nasty Little Rumour, all of which will be performed on the night.
