The home of clubbing and dance music has opened its doors and stages to some of the biggest names in Urban and Rap this Summer, mostly thanks to pioneering moves by MTV, who recently brought Snoop Dogg to make his debut Ibiza performance at Amnesia. Following the cancellation of Duran Duran’s Summer tour due to Simon Le Bon’s illness, MTV were left with a momentary gap in their calendar of events for this Summer’s ‘I Want My MTV Ibiza’ parties. Snoop Dogg played live in  Ibiza  last weekend for the opening of ‘I Want My MTV Ibiza’. Landing from Malta in his private jet, Snoop and his 30 strong entourage of dancers, rappers and crew headed not for the beach…. not to a party…….but to a room specially provided at the hotel as part of Snoop’s rider requirement by MTV. The room was decked out with 40 inch screens, 3 Xbox consoles and a requested selection of Pro Tennis games….. it seems that our Snoop’s a bit of a tennis lover…. maybe he’ll be spotted in the crowd at  Wimbledon  next Summer?

Following the recent announcement that MTV are hosting a series of exclusive live Ibiza events throughout the summer, today it has been confirmed that hip hop superstar SNOOP DOGG will be headlining the ‘I Want my MTV’ opening party on Friday 1st July at Amnesia, Ibiza, with PRIMAL SCREAM presents SCREAMADELICA closing the Summer parties on Fri 2^nd September.
