With festi-holiday thrills and spills drawing ever nearer, the Camp Bestival crew have pulled together yet another bumper crop of amazing spectacles to dazzle and delight one and all. With a jaw-dropping cast of previously announced acts and entertainment including Primal Scream, Blondie, Mark Ronson and Business INTL, Laura Marling, House of Pain, Claire Maguire, Katy B, Mr Tumble, The Gruffalo, The English National Ballet, 100s of Free Things For Kids To Do and so much more Camp Bestival is set to take place from the 28th-31st July at Dorset’s picturesque Lulworth Castle.
Rob da Bank Says: ‘Arts make up a big part of what Camp Bestival’s all about and I’m particularly pleased with the way this year’s arts line-up shapes up. The breadth and quality is astounding and it caters for young’uns to old’uns and all spaces in between. Add to that a sprinkling of even more great music and I’m really proud of our line up as a whole. And speaking of proud, it’s great to have so many worthy charities involved in the festival this year. July can’t come soon enough!’
Here at GI HQ we are very chuffed to announce that we’ll be working alongside the teams at the Prince’s Trust and Jamie Oliver Foundation on an exciting new project that teams two of our favourite things…. food and music!
The Big Feastival is a sensational new three day event on the festival calendar combining mouth-watering food from some of the country’s top chefs with a top drawer selection of the finest live music acts around. Get ready for a sonic assault from across the channel – the annual Oui Love tour is back! Committed to introducing us Brits to the most exciting acts of the New French Wave, Oui Love has yet again put together an unmissable tour, coming to our shores in May.
The formula is simple: six nights in the UKs best venues with two of France’s hottest musical offerings – much hyped coldgaze pioneers Team Ghost and electro new wave maestro Anoraak – a must for all fans of new music.
Working on behalf of the French Music Export Office, Oui Love can always be relied upon to expose us to the most important musical stirrings from across the pond. Last year was extremely successful featuring The Shoes, Bewitched Hands on the Top of Our Heads, Revolver and Curry & Coco, along with English student bands Bella Diem and Jimi’s Parade.
The 2011 tour continues the tradition of teaming French acts with emerging young British talent. Joining Team Ghost and Anoraak on the bill will be the winners of a competition organised by Access to Music to find the UK’s best student band – winners will be announced later this month.

Bobby Gillespie and co will headline the Sunday night along and sit alongside the equally delicious musical morsels and cultural treats to entice you to join us at Lulworth Castle for the fourth Camp Bestival from 28-31 July.
Rob da Bank says: ‘Screamadelica is undoubtedly in my top five albums of all time. It came out just as I was launching myself into raveland, soundtracked so many late nights and early mornings and is at heart one of the best combinations of dance, soul and rock n roll ever.
“Screamadelica and Primal Scream have stood the test of time better than most and I can’t wait for Camp Bestival-goers old and young to hear it either again or for the first time. Come together!’
One of the greatest albums to have emerged during the heady days of the 1990s, ‘Screamadelica’ is effortlessly timeless, so we’re truly ecstatic to announce that Primal Scream will be joining us at Camp Bestival headlining the Sunday night playing their seminal album in its entirety. From the sublime ‘Movin’ On Up’, through the blissful bass of ‘Don’t Fight It Feel It’ and the euphoric ‘Come Together’, Primal Scream presents Screamadelica is a cast-iron guarantee for an epic last night at Camp Bestival. But that’s not all because Bobby Gillespie and co have also agreed to perform their greatest hits too, making for a truly unmissable Sunday headline set!
Having expanded to a three-day event last year, Dot to Dot Festival is set to take over three of Britain’s musical hubs as part of what has quickly become the leading urban music festival in the country. Manchester, Nottingham and Bristol will continue the event’s tradition in hosting some of the most exciting up-and-coming artists and on the strength of the seven names we can now announce, there is no let up in the depth of talent which will be on show.
Dot To Dot Event Organiser Anton Lockwood Commented: ‘2011 is shaping up to be the best Dot To Dot ever. And, this is just the tip of the iceberg as we have many more fantastic established and up and coming acts from around the world still to be announced.’

If you haven’t already heard our super exciting news then we are very pleased to tell you that The Cure have been announced as this years Saturday headliners for Bestival alongside a stellar list of bands and DJ’s that are just a taste of what’s to come.
A gleeful Rob da Bank said: ‘I’ve spent the last twenty years of my life listening to The Cure and the last five attempting to persuade Robert Smith and the crew to hop on a ferry to our magical Isle. I’m still not sure what we’ve done right but I’m overjoyed that they are coming as Saturday night headliners.
