SSE Plugged In
Plugged in to music.
'plugged in' was developed by Get Involved as a vehicle to engage 'the energy buyer of tomorrow' with the UK’s leader in renewable energy 'Scottish and Southern Energy'.
This 'big idea' had to have the flexibility to work across multiple communications channels and support regional sponsorship objectives in SSE's key areas of Southern England, Scotland and Wales.
We developed plugged in as a 'music in the community' programme which we activated through 4 flagship regional music festivals Wakestock, RockNess, Bestival and SWN. This gave SSE the opportunity to demonstrate to festival-goers just how easy it is to be energy efficient in a creative way.
By offering services like free eco friendly mobile phone charging, pedal powered smoothies and hosting the first ever 'people powered' parties we created PR driving initiatives that delivered great PR value, built active social communities and engaged consumers.
We also developed a strategy of PR based 'talent searches' empowering young people in the regions which resulted in discovering a plugged in Band, DJ, an Eco-fashion Pioneer and a Videographer.
